Ravi Bhooplapur, president of Xavier University, announced the gift, noting that it would play a significant role in strengthening the university’s academic infrastructure and student experience.

The auditorium is planned as a central gathering space on the new campus and will host academic ceremonies, guest lectures, conferences, and other major university events.

Ganesh Bhat, who serves as chancellor of Xavier University, has been closely associated with the institution’s growth and strategic direction. University officials said his leadership has helped shape the university’s academic vision, standards, and global outreach.

The gift, made jointly with Srimathi Bhat, reflects their shared focus on advancing medical education and supporting the development of future physicians and healthcare professionals.

In recent months, Xavier Foundation Inc. has received additional major donations aimed at strengthening campus facilities, including contributions toward library and learning resources, highlighting a wider effort to build out the institution’s educational infrastructure.
