Sukanya Sudhakaran from the United Arab Emirates was crowned Miss India Worldwide at the 32nd edition of the pageant, held at The Lalit Hotel in Mumbai. The event, organized by the New York–based India Festival Committee (IFC), brought together 38 contestants of Indian origin from different parts of the world.
Sudhakaran, who holds an MBA, is also a model and dancer. She has worked with leading fashion designers and was previously listed among the top 50 influential women of the Middle East.
Nirali Desai from the United States was named First Runner-Up, while Kiarra Salickram of Trinidad and Tobago was awarded Second Runner-Up.
The IFC, led by Indian Americans Neelam and Dharmatma Saran, has been organizing the event for more than three decades, making it the longest-running Indian pageant outside India.
In other categories, Rama Aryal of Nepal won the Mrs. India Worldwide title. Meredith Ramsamy of Guadeloupe was named First Runner-Up, and Malini Persaud of Guyana placed as Second Runner-Up. The Teen category was won by Krishika Prasad of Fiji, with Angelisha Ramhiet of the Netherlands as First Runner-Up and Arshia Kathpalia of the United States as Second Runner-Up.
The event featured choreography and show direction by Sandip Soparrkar. Audio-visual arrangements were handled by Elric Dsouza of EDN Entertainment, while Fenil Khakhar of Like Wize Events managed the event. Supermodel and actor Anupama Verma, along with Miss India Worldwide 2019 Tanishq Sharma, hosted the evening.
