Republican gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy’s campaign announced a $10 million statewide advertising buy on March 12, describing it as one of the earliest and largest ad investments in an Ohio gubernatorial race.
The “Vivek for Ohio” campaign said the advertising push includes two television spots, "Ohio's Future” and “Backing the Blue," which will run statewide across broadcast, cable, streaming and digital platforms.

According to the campaign, the ads focus on public safety and economic affordability as Ramaswamy seeks the Republican nomination for governor.
In the ad titled “Ohio’s Future,” his wife, Apoorva Ramaswamy, discusses his priorities as an Ohio native and father of three young children.
“Nothing means more to my husband, Vivek, than being a father,” she says in the ad. “He knows Ohio families are working hard but are falling behind. Like every parent, he wants safe communities, great schools, and a state where hard work means you can afford your home, your groceries, and your future.”
The second advertisement, “Backing the Blue,” features Steve Levorchick and focuses on support for law enforcement.
“Ohio law enforcement supports Vivek Ramaswamy because, like President Trump, Vivek supports us,” Levorchick says in the ad. “Vivek will empower police to arrest violent criminals quickly and decisively, put trained resource officers in every school, and restore law and order statewide so our families feel secure in our homes and communities.”
The campaign said the advertising investment is roughly double the total amount raised to date by Democratic candidate Amy Acton.
Ramaswamy, a Cincinnati-born biotech entrepreneur and former Republican presidential candidate, launched his campaign for governor in February 2025. He entered the race with the endorsement of President Donald Trump and later received backing from the Ohio Republican Party in May 2025.
The 2026 election will determine the successor to Mike DeWine, who is term-limited and cannot seek another consecutive term.
The Republican primary field includes candidates such as Casey Putsch and Heather Hill, while the Democratic contest is led by Acton, a former director of the Ohio Department of Health.
Ramaswamy has selected Rob McColley as his running mate for lieutenant governor.
According to the campaign, Ramaswamy raised $19.8 million in 2025 after holding more than 110 in-state fundraising events, which it described as the largest single-year fundraising total in Ohio gubernatorial campaign history, with an average contribution of $76.
