Loudoun High School Leadership Summit / X/ Delegate JJ Singh
Virginia Delegate JJ Singh will host the second annual Loudoun High School Leadership Summit on July 25.
The summit will bring together students and leaders from government, education, and business for a day of leadership and career-focused discussions.

Scheduled from 9:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., it will feature sessions on coalition building, public speaking, college readiness, artificial intelligence, and other leadership skills.

Organizers said the event is designed to help students develop communication and leadership abilities while exploring opportunities in public service, policymaking, business, and higher education.
Announcing the event on X, Singh said, "Excited to announce my 2nd Annual Loudoun High School Leadership Summit. Last year, we had a fantastic event, with over 50 students," he wrote.
According to details shared by Singh, this year's speakers include leaders with experience in the Obama and George W. Bush administrations, academia, and professional sports.
The lineup includes Michelle Maldonado, former delegate and former head of U.S. AI Policy at the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation; David Heifetz, a Breakthrough Energy executive and former White House speechwriter in the Obama administration; Sally Canfield, former senior adviser to President George W. Bush, Sen. Mitt Romney, and Sen. Marco Rubio; Ken Stroupe, chief of staff at the University of Virginia's Center for Politics; and Kirtan Mehta, chief external affairs officer for the Washington Commanders. Singh, who also serves as president of Retreat Hotels & Resorts, will address participants.
The summit is open to students from Rock Ridge, Independence, Freedom, Champe, Lightridge, Briar Woods, and other Loudoun County high schools.
"We'll be talking about AI, coalition building, public speaking, college readiness, and more. Claim your spot!" Singh said.
Singh, a Democrat representing Virginia's 26th House District since January 2025, is the first Sikh elected to the Virginia House of Delegates. Before entering elected office, he served in the Peace Corps, the White House Office of Management and Budget, the U.S. Senate, and the private sector.
