The United States has tightened its sanctions grip on Iran’s oil and gas network, targeting more than 50 individuals, entities, and vessels—including three Indian nationals and an India-based shipping company—accused of helping Tehran evade restrictions and sustain its energy exports.
The Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) said the new sanctions aim to “dismantle key elements of Iran’s energy export machine,” disrupting billions of dollars in revenue that Washington says funds terrorist groups hostile to the US.
