US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sept. 29 announced a sweeping new plan they said could end the war in Gaza, return hostages, and lay the foundation for “eternal peace in the Middle East”.
At a joint press conference in Washington with Netanyahu, Trump outlined what he described as a “Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict,” pledging immediate ceasefire terms, staged Israeli withdrawals, and the creation of an international transitional authority that he himself would chair.
