Cindy Rodriguez Singh, who had been on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list, has been arrested, the agency confirmed. Singh, who was accused of hiding in India, is charged with the capital murder of her six-year-old son and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
Authorities in Everman, Texas began investigating in March 2023 when Singh’s child had not been seen since October 2022. During a welfare check, Singh told investigators that her son was in Mexico with his father. Two days later, she and her husband boarded a flight to India with six other children. Investigators later confirmed that the missing child had not been on that flight.

In October 2023, Singh was charged with capital murder in the District Court of Tarrant County, Fort Worth. The following month, a federal warrant was issued after she was charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
Director of FBI Kash Patel, commenting on the arrest, wrote on X that Singh’s arrest marks the fourth capture of a fugitive from the Ten Most Wanted list in the past seven months.
He added: “Thanks to our local partners in Texas, where this case originated, @TheJusticeDept, as well as partners in India for the coordinating.” He added, “@FBIDallas and @NewYorkFBI did tremendous work.”
The FBI had previously offered a reward of up to $250,000 for information leading to Singh’s arrest. She will now face proceedings in the United States.
