American singer Mary Millben took to social media on Nov. 26 to express her deep concerns over the growing radicalization and attacks against Hindu minorities in Bangladesh.

In a post shared on X, Millben condemned the recent imprisonment of Chinmoy Krishna Das, a notable figure, and highlighted the escalating violence against Hindus and other minority groups at the hands of extremists in Bangladesh.

“The imprisonment of Chinmoy Krishna Das and the continued attacks against Hindus and other minorities by extremists in Bangladesh must be addressed now by world leaders,” Millben wrote, urging immediate international attention to the situation.

Millben, who has been a vocal advocate for religious freedom, stressed the importance of protecting the rights of individuals to practice their faith safely, regardless of their background.

Chinmoy Krishna Das, a prominent Bangladeshi Hindu monk and spokesperson for the Bangladesh Sanatani Jagaran Mancha, was arrested on Nov. 25, amid escalating tensions surrounding attacks on Hindus and other minority communities in the country.

The arrest comes as Bangladesh faces growing calls from extremist factions to ban the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), a movement with a significant presence in the region.
