Two University of Colorado Boulder students, Adi Prakash and Urmi Bhattacheryya, have reached a $200,000 settlement after suing the institution for discrimination and retaliation. They said university administrators harassed them for heating Indian food in a microwave.
Prakash and Bhattacheryya were international students pursuing doctoral degrees in cultural anthropology. They alleged that the university retaliated against them after they raised concerns with campus authorities.
