Democrat Hanu Karlapalem's State House campaign rally in Decatur
Karlapalem said his campaign is centered on three core principles, “Economy First, People First, Constitution First.”

Indian-American Hanu Karlapalem, the Democratic nominee for Alabama State House District 4, is organizing a campaign rally in Decatur on May 30.
Set to take place at High Point Market, 307 2nd Ave SE, Decatur, AL, titled, 'Rally for an Alabama we can afford', the organizers describe the event as an afternoon of community, conversation, and a shared vision for North Alabama's future,
Talking about the rally, Karlapalem said, "This campaign is about An Alabama We Can Afford — lower costs, stronger public schools, real healthcare.”
He added, "While Alabama families are tightening their belts, the supermajority legislature and special interests are tightening their grip on Alabamians. The people of District 4 deserve a fresh start and new leadership. They are demanding change — and I couldn’t sit on the sidelines."
Karlapalem centers his camoaign on three core principles, “Economy First, People First, Constitution First.”
“My loyalty is to the Constitution — not to kings, not to special interests, and not to any party above the law,” Karlapalem said.
He continued, “I am asking for your vote on November 3rd to build an Alabama we can afford.”
Karlapalem also urged supporters to volunteer, canvass neighborhoods, make phone calls, display campaign signs, bring others into the campaign, and donate money to support his run for State House District 4.

Karlapalem is a Madison-based technology entrepreneur and community advocate who has lived in the area for more than two decades.
He is the Founder & CEO of Vinhamz, a small business providing network solutions and cloud services.
Karlapalem, a first generation immigrant, obtained his Bachelor's degree from Delhi College of Engineering, Delhi, India, also holds a Master's degree in Management Information Systems from The University of Alabama in Huntsville.
He previously served as Second Vice President of the Limestone County NAACP and has spoken on issues including utility costs, education, growth, and voting rights.
