Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel / FBI
The FBI has upped the reward for information on fugitive Indian national Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel, 34, from $250,000 to $1 million on March 10.
Patel, a native of Kantrodi Ta Viramgam, Gujarat, India, is sought for allegedly murdering his 21-year-old wife inside a Hanover, Maryland, doughnut shop over a decade ago.
According to investigators, the couple was working the night shift on April 12, 2015, when Patel allegedly led his wife into a back room and stabbed her multiple times with an edged weapon. Surveillance footage shows the two walking into the back of the store. Palak was not seen again.

He was last seen at Newark Penn Station on the morning of April 13, 2015, just hours after Palak Patel was found dead.
First placed on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list in 2017, the agency warned that Patel could be armed and dangerous.
“We hope this $1 million reward attracts greater attention to our tireless search for Bhadreshkumar Patel and leads to tips we need to provide justice for Palak Patel, who was brutally murdered by her husband,” said FBI Baltimore Special Agent in Charge Jimmy Paul. “The increased reward reflects the seriousness of Patel’s crime and all the cases on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives List.”
Patel has been charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution, first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and dangerous weapon with intent to injure.
