The Federation of Gujarati Associations of USA (FOGAUSA) hosted the United Gujarati Convention 2026 in Orlando over Memorial Day weekend, bringing together representatives from more than 100 Gujarati organizations across North America to celebrate Gujarati culture, community leadership and cross-generational engagement.
The event attracted thousands of attendees and featured cultural programs, networking sessions, educational seminars and business forums aimed at strengthening connections within the Gujarati diaspora.

FOGAUSA founders Vasudev Patel, Harshadbhai Pakaji Patel and Prakashbhai P.V. Patel, along with co-founders Chirag Dave and Divyesh Tripathi, welcomed attendees and emphasized the importance of preserving Gujarati heritage.
A virtual address by Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi highlighted the contributions of the Gujarati diaspora and praised efforts to promote cultural identity and community service.
Participants took part in business forums, networking sessions, educational seminars and cultural programs aimed at strengthening ties among Gujaratis living abroad.
Organizers said the convention focused on issues including youth engagement, leadership development, entrepreneurship and the preservation of Gujarati language and traditions.
The event also featured appearances by spiritual leaders, social activists, business executives and elected officials from India and the United States. Several individuals and organizations were recognized for their contributions to community development and public service.
Cultural performances, including traditional folk dances, Garba and musical presentations, formed a key part of the program. Young artists from across North America showcased their talents, reflecting the convention’s emphasis on involving future generations.
