The third edition of Pravasi Parichay, a week-long cultural celebration honoring India's diversity and the Indian community in Saudi Arabia, is being held at the Indian Embassy in Riyadh.
The event, which commenced on Oct. 28 and will run till Nov. 3 is organized in collaboration with several Indian diaspora associations across the country, reflecting the collective spirit and participation of the Indian community.

This year’s edition, themed State Days, highlights India’s regional cultures through performances of traditional dance and music, exhibitions of folk art, and displays of regional cuisine.

The week opened with a Bollywood Musical Night, featuring singers from the Indian community in Saudi Arabia performing popular Hindi film songs. Other highlights include a Viksit Bharat Art Exhibition featuring over 20 artworks by women artists from the Indian diaspora, and a Gita Mahotsav.
According to reports, this year’s festival has expanded its programming with additional state-focused events, reflecting increased interest and participation from community organizations.
The festival coincides with Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) on Oct. 31 and marks the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, underscoring the message of unity in diversity.
Ahead of the festival, the Embassy carried out a beautification drive under the Government of India’s Special Campaign 5.0, installing decorative lighting and greenery across its premises in preparation for the cultural week.
