The Global Organization for People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) on Nov. 1 unveiled a detailed vision for a first-of-its-kind museum dedicated to the Indian Diaspora in New Delhi.

In a virtual meeting, the organization outlined plans for the museum’s four thematic galleries, immersive installations, rotating exhibits, and educational programs, all aimed at capturing the full scope of the Indian Diaspora’s history, achievements, and ongoing cultural contributions.

GOPIO International chairman Thomas Abraham opened the meeting by introducing the concept of the Museum for the Indian Diaspora. He described it as a platform to honor the historical journeys, contributions, and cultural legacies of Indians abroad, emphasizing its role as a bridge connecting India with its global diaspora.
