The Coalition of Hindus of North America(CoHNA) will celebrate Hindu Day of Advocacy on June 30, in Washington, D.C.
Marking the fifth edition of the annual event, CoHNA seeks to encourage community members to actively engage in civic processes, connect with leaders, and stand together for issues that affect Hindus.
Held at the Rayburn House Office Building, a congressional office building for the US House of Representatives in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, CoHNA returns with the event to bring together experts, advocates, community leaders, youth, and community members for a day that drives visibility, engagement, and influence on Capitol Hill.
Extending the invitation to the event, CoHNA said on X, "As America celebrates 250 years, we invite Hindu Americans to be part of the conversations shaping what comes next."
It added, "If you have been witnessing our momentum, this is your moment to step into it."

The event will commence at 2 PM and will go on till 5 PM and the day's proceedings will seek to unite Hindu American voices for "awareness, dignity, and representation".
CoHNA is a grassroots advocacy group representing the Hindu community in North America. The community organization works to protect Hindu interests, educate the public about Hindu heritage and traditions, and empower Hindus to become active contributors in their local communities.
Additionally, CoHNA aims to influence how Hinduism and India are discussed in mainstream North American society, particularly among youth, media, and political circles. Through partnerships with both Hindu and non-Hindu organizations, CoHNA promotes mutual respect, pluralism, and a vibrant, sustainable society enriched by diverse cultural and religious values.
The organization recently made headlines after its successful campaign forced Harvard University to remove a controversial image that misrepresented and demonized the Sanskrit language.
The image, posted on Harvard’s Sanskrit course page, showed a male figure portrayed as a puppet master against a dark background. The figure had an Urdhva Pundra tilak, a sacred Vaishnava mark, on his forehead and a peacock feather on his head, drawing parallels to Lord Krishna.
