The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta awarded a grant to Aabaha Inc., the nonprofit organization behind the annual Aabaha Art and Theater Festival (AATF).
The funding will assist Aabaha in improving its annual Art and Theater Festival, which features community art exhibits, panel discussions, cultural exchanges, and traditional, contemporary, and experimental theater. The festival has emerged as a leading platform for cultural dialogue and creative collaboration, as a result of the increasing involvement of artists from across the country.
This year the Aabaha Art and theater festival is from Aug 22-24th at The Eagle Theatre, Sugar Hill, GA.
"We are honored to receive this recognition and support from the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta," said Kallol Nandi, founder and artistic director of Aabaha. "This grant strengthens our ability to provide a platform for diverse voices, nurture local artists, and bring communities together through storytelling and art."
Since its inception in 2019, Aabaha has been dedicated to the celebration of cultural diversity through community engagement, visual arts, and multilingual and multicultural theater. The Community Foundation's support underlines Aabaha's contribution to the development of Atlanta's arts and culture scene, as well as its advocacy for civic engagement, creativity, and inclusivity.
