Netflix has released the trailer for its highly anticipated animated series, Kurukshetra, which will premiere on Oct. 10.
The series reinterprets the Mahabharata through the lens of 18 warriors grappling with moral dilemmas, shifting loyalties, and life-altering choices. By foregrounding their struggles, the series emphasizes that the Mahabharata is not only a tale of war but also of humanity’s enduring questions about righteousness, sacrifice, and destiny.
Conceptualized and created by Anu Sikka, the show is produced under Tipping Point with Alok Jain, Anu Sikka, and Ajit Andhare leading the project. It is written and directed by Ujaan Ganguly, with animation by Hitech Animation. The series is further shaped by the poetry of Gulzar, whose verses add a lyrical dimension to the narrative.
