Canada based York Cinemas has announced that it is cancelling and refunding all advanced tickets for the Tamil-superstar Vijay starrer, 'Jana Nayagan', noting that the film is not likely to be released before April 30.
Jana Nayagan, is an upcoming Tamil-language political action thriller film starring Thalapathy Vijay in what is billed as his final movie role before fully entering politics. Directed by H. Vinoth, the film features Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol in leading roles, alongside Vijay.

York also announced that it will reserve priority bookings for its membership holders, once new release dates are announced.
The film has been embroiled in a major controversy due to prolonged delays in obtaining a censor certificate from the CBFC, stemming from a complaint alleging scenes that could hurt religious sentiments and improper portrayal of Indian Army references without required expert input.
The tiff with the CBFC led to legal battles in the Madras High Court, and a petition in the Supreme court both of which were withdrawn in favour of appealing to CBFC's 'Revising Committee', a day after its initially scheduled Jan. 9 release. Since then, the film's release has been pushed further multiple times.
