Elephas Biosciences appoints Premal Patel as CMO

Patel is a physician-scientist and biotechnology executive with over two decades of leadership experience.

Premal Patel was appointed as the Chief Medical Officer of Wisconsin based healthcare company, Elephas Biosciences Corporation, the company announced on Jan. 8.

Patel is a physician-scientist and biotechnology executive with over two decades of leadership experience spanning Genentech, Pfizer, Juno, Lyell, and eFFECTOR Therapeutics.

Celebrating the appointment, Elephas Founder and CEO Maneesh Arora said in a statement, "Our strength lies in our people and their commitment to developing and delivering a transformative functional solution for cancer researchers and patients."

Arora also noted that he was "incredibly excited" about the about the appointment and highlighted the "passion for the mission and depth of knowledge" that his appointment will bring to the company.

Before joining Elephas, Patel was the CEO of Cellinfinity Bio, focused on a next-generation in vivo CAR-T therapy.

Patel holds a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from Rutgers University along with a master's degree and a PhD from the University of Washington. He completed his oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Celebrating his appointment, Patel said, "It's an exciting and pivotal moment for Elephas."

He added, "By using a patient's own live tumor to generate clinically actionable insights, Elephas could transform how treatment decisions are made. This approach directly addresses a major unmet need in metastatic cancer, helping to identify the most effective therapy for each patient."
