अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने हाल ही में 'रेसिप्रोकल टैरिफ़्स' लागू करने की घोषणा की है, जिसके तहत अमेरिका अब उन देशों पर उतना ही शुल्क लगाएगा जितना वे अमेरिकी उत्पादों पर लगाते हैं। इस नीति के तहत सभी आयातों पर 10% का बेसलाइन शुल्क तय किया गया है, जबकि कुछ देशों पर इससे भी अधिक शुल्क लगाया गया है। चीन पर 34%, पाकिस्तान पर 29%, ताइवान पर 32%, यूरोपीय संघ पर 20%, और जापान पर 24% का शुल्क लगाया गया है।
