પંજાબમાં આવેલા ભયાનક પૂરને કારણે સર્જાયેલી ગંભીર પરિસ્થિતિ અને માનવસર્જિત આપત્તિને ધ્યાનમાં રાખીને ગુજરાત સરકારે માનવતા ધર્મ નિભાવ્યો છે. ગુજરાત સરકારે પંજાબના પૂરગ્રસ્ત લોકોને જીવનજરૂરી ચીજવસ્તુઓની સહાય મોકલી છે. આજે(11 સપ્ટેમ્બર) મુખ્યમંત્રી ભૂપેન્દ્ર પટેલે ગાંધીનગર રેલવે સ્ટેશનથી રાહત સામગ્રી ભરેલી એક ખાસ ટ્રેનને પંજાબ જવા માટે લીલીઝંડી આપી હતી.
