Maine’s Nirav Shah enters U.S. Senate race

July 2026 132 views 02:23

Indian-origin public health leader Dr. Nirav Shah is officially entering US politics.
The former Maine CDC director has announced his bid for the US Senate, challenging Republican Senator Susan Collins in the 2026 election.
Shah says Maine needs stronger representation in Washington and has promised to be “a fighter” for working families.
