‘Honeymoon Se Hatya’ sheds light on marriages that began with promise but spiralled into violence, analysing the emotional, social, and psychological factors that pushed these women to commit acts that shocked the nation.

With an aim to omit sensationalism or judgment, the series focuses on presenting the facts as they unfolded, encouraging viewers to reflect on the complex realities hidden behind closed doors.

The true crime docu series revisits some of India’s most disturbing and widely discussed cases, including the Meghalaya Sonam Raja Raghuvanshi Case, the Meerut Blue Drum Case, the Bhiwani Influencer Case, the Mumbai Tile Case (Nalasopara Tile Case), and the Delhi Electric Shock Case, which captured national attention and sparked widespread debate.

Speaking about this upcoming docu-series, Chief Channel Officer &TV and Business Head ZEE5, Kaveri Das, said,

“With Honeymoon Se Hatya, we are expanding our documentary slate into deeper, more emotionally charged stories. In today’s rapidly evolving social landscape, understanding the pressures within marriages, has never been more important.”

“These stories highlight the fractures that often go unnoticed until it’s too late. Viewers can expect a gripping show marked by emotional depth, realism, and insights that linger long after the story ends. Honeymoon Se Hatya is meant to provoke conversations about relationships, power, and the silent battles fought within homes.”

Through detailed narration, recreations, interviews, and archival material, the series brings forward a comprehensive account of each crime while highlighting recurring patterns of emotional trauma, control, suppression, and desperation that often remain invisible until tragedy strikes.
