Trump, Xi hold call on trade progress, upcoming state visits

Trump said the two leaders discussed many topics including Ukraine/Russia, Fentanyl, Soybeans and other Farm Products, etc.

President Donald Trump on Nov. 24 said he held “a very good telephone call” with Chinese President Xi Jinping, describing the conversation as wide-ranging and focused on issues including Ukraine, Russia, fentanyl, soybeans and other farm products. He also announced plans for reciprocal state visits in 2026, even as experts noted differing emphases in how both sides portrayed the exchange.

In a statement posted on his social media account, Trump said the two leaders “discussed many topics including Ukraine/Russia, Fentanyl, Soybeans and other Farm Products, etc.” He added, “We have done a good, and very important, deal for our Great Farmers — and it will only get better.”
