Silk Threads by Ruby Bhandari will host its 13th Annual Charity Gala, ‘The Regal Radiance’, on Nov. 1 at The Dallas Palms in Carrollton, Texas. The event will combine fashion, philanthropy, and community engagement, raising funds for two nonprofit organizations — Aadhar and the Akanksha Education Fund.

For more than 30 years, Silk Threads has organized events that merge couture and charity. This year’s gala, themed ‘The Regal Radiance’, will highlight Indian craftsmanship while promoting the value of giving back.

“This event is more than just a theme — it is a reflection of the light that philanthropy brings into the world,” said Ruby Bhandari, Founder of Silk Threads. “We are thrilled to celebrate our 13th year of making a difference, and we invite all those who believe in the power of community and compassion to join us for an unforgettable night.”

The evening will include a fashion showcase featuring collections by Indian designers Charu Parashar, Archana Kochhar, and Rococo. Guests will also have opportunities to bid on exclusive experiences and items, with proceeds directed toward the featured charities. Several community leaders from Dallas are expected to walk the runway in support of the cause.

The event’s beneficiaries reflect Silk Threads’ focus on both global and local impact. Aadhar, founded in 2024 by psychiatrist Dr. Sejal Mehta, is a community-based nonprofit that promotes mental wellness and provides accessible resources for individuals and families. The organization aims to reduce stigma around mental health and expand emotional well-being initiatives.

Akanksha Education Fund, established more than three decades ago, supports underserved students in India through access to quality education. The nonprofit runs 27 public-private partnership schools and has impacted over 20,000 students, helping them pursue opportunities beyond poverty.

The gala begins at 6:30 p.m. at The Dallas Palms, with ticket details available at www.SilkThreadsFundraiser.com.
