The Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters’ Office has opened its first “I Voted” sticker design contest, inviting students across the county to submit artwork that could be distributed to voters in the Nov. 3, 2026, general election.

The six-week submission period began March 24 and runs through April 30. The Registrar of Voters’ Office said students of all ages and skill levels are eligible to participate.

The contest includes three categories: elementary and middle school students in grades K-8, high school students in grades 9-12, and college and trade school students. Participants can submit designs online, by mail, or in person at the Registrar of Voters’ Office. Instructions, rules and an official template are available on the county’s election website, where entries can also be uploaded.

After submissions close, office staff will review entries and select finalists in each category. The finalists will be posted for public voting from late May through early June, allowing county residents to choose their preferred designs. Winners are expected to be announced in late June.

The selected designs will be printed and distributed as official “I Voted” stickers during the November election.

“We are thrilled to open this contest and invite our community to show us their creativity,” said Matt Moreles, Registrar of Voters. “Santa Clara County is filled with imaginative, talented students, and we can’t wait to see the artwork that will bring our next ‘I Voted’ sticker to life.”
