The Federation of Indian Associations (FIA) has announced that Indian actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda will serve as the Grand Marshals for the 43rd Annual India Day Parade in New York City.
The announcement was made during a curtain-raiser event held at the Consulate General of India in New York on June 27.
Both actors, popular in Indian cinema, shared video messages during the event in six languages—Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and English. In their message, they expressed appreciation for the invitation and said they look forward to joining the parade scheduled for August 17, 2025.
This year’s parade theme, “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah—A Global Initiative for Universal Well-being,” was also introduced at the event. The parade will begin with the traditional flag-hoisting ceremony on August 15 and continue with the march along Madison Avenue on August 17.
