The U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC) organized a 50th Anniversary Special Summit in Dallas, Texas on Oct. 29, highlighting the enduring U.S.-India strategic and economic partnership.
Attended by leaders from government and business, the conversations revolved around key aspects of shared economic interest between the two countries, including, innovation, reindustrialization, and collaboration across tech, trade, sports, and infrastructure.
In his keynote address, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of India, Namgya C. Khampa, underscored the expansive and dynamic the partnership, emphasizing the growing commercial corridor between the two nations.

The event was kicked off by USIBC President Atul Keshap who underscored the richness of the two-way trade and investment corridor, noting the importance of sustaining the positive momentum of the U.S.-India economic partnership.
Also in attendance was D.C. Manjunath, Consul General of India in Houston. In his remarks, he emphasized the critical role of Indian investments in Texas’s economy, pointing out that Texas is the top recipient of Indian FDI in the United States, a testament to the robust and lasting commercial ties between the two regions.

Manjunath also offered context-setting insights on key issues like innovation, and reindustrialization, which were to be taken up by different panels during the summit. He also highlighted how U.S.-India partnerships are unlocking new avenues for growth, job creation, and mutual prosperity in both economies.
The summit featured a Fireside Chat on Sports between Johnny Grave, the CEO of Major League Cricket, and Ryan Miller, the Vice President for International Member Relations & South Asia of the U.S. Chamber.
The conversation dove into how the sports industry is elevating the global fan experience, blending culture, technology, community, and innovation to expand the reach and appeal of the game. The duo highlighted how the business of sports is opening new frontiers for collaboration and growth, emphasizing that cricket’s next great chapter is being written in America.
Another key highlight of the event was the panel discussion titled, 'Building for Growth: On the Front Lines of the Reindustrialization of America'. The panel discussed how the U.S. and India are shaping the next wave of advanced manufacturing, infrastructure, and energy collaboration.
Moderated by Raj Malik, Founder & CEO of BioWorld, the panel featured Emily Beline, Lead Counsel at FedEx along with Neeraj Menon, Partner and Head of Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure Practice at Trilegal and Verander Chawdary the Director of Projects at the Adani Group.
The summit also featured a panel on 'Tech-Booms in Texas and India: Driving Innovation for Growth Economies', it explored how two powerhouse regions are defining the next chapter of global innovation. Moderated by Mike Rosa, Senior Vice President, Dallas Regional Chamber, the conversation brought together Nina Vaca, Chairman and CEO of Pinnacle Group, along with Kate Maloney, Executive Director of Infosys Foundation USA, Medha Jaishankar, President of Omnivations and Head LA Consultant of Jetsynthesis, and Dr. Gaurav Shekhar, the Associate Dean of The University of Texas at Dallas.
A panel discussion on Geopolitics and Markets was also organized. The discussion explored how governments, businesses, and investors can adapt to evolving policy and political dynamics shaping markets worldwide. The discussion was hosted by USIBC in collaboration with USIBC Board Member Anurag Jain, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Perot Jain, it featured Ed Knight, Executive Vice Chairman of Nasdaq, and Chairman USIBC Global Board of Directors, and Nisha Biswal, Partner at The Asia Group.
