Sikhs of America chair Jasdip Singh Jesse receives NCAIA Lifetime Achievement Award

NCAIA officials lauded Dr. Jesse’s longstanding contributions to community development and civic engagement.

Jasdip Singh Jesse, founder and chairman of Sikhs of America, one of the leading Sikh organizations in the United States, has been conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the National Council of Asian Indian Associations (NCAIA) during its 20th anniversary celebrations.

The honor was presented at a grand ceremony held in Maryland, where NCAIA commemorated two decades of service, unity, and community empowerment. The event brought together prominent community leaders, cultural performers, dignitaries, and members of the Asian Indian diaspora from across the region.

The program commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by a vibrant cultural showcase featuring Indian classical dance, music, and folk performances, adding to the significance of the occasion.

During the ceremony, NCAIA officials lauded Jesse’s longstanding contributions to community development and civic engagement. They highlighted his tireless efforts to strengthen the connection between the Indian-American community, particularly Sikhs and mainstream American society. Under his leadership, numerous initiatives have been launched to encourage youth leadership, support underserved communities, and promote civic participation.

Speakers noted that Jesse has played a pivotal role in advancing social awareness, community engagement, and social justice initiatives over the years. NCAIA leaders also acknowledged the contributions of volunteers, supporters, and community members who helped shape the organization’s successful 20-year journey.

A widely respected community leader, Jesse has dedicated decades to the welfare and advancement of the Sikh community and broader society in the United States. Through Sikhs of America, he has helped strengthen the visibility and representation of Sikhs while championing causes related to community unity, youth empowerment, and public service.

His humanitarian efforts have extended to education, healthcare, substance abuse prevention, disaster relief, and human rights advocacy. He has also been a strong advocate for interfaith dialogue, social harmony, and mutual understanding among diverse communities.

Accepting the award, Jesse expressed his heartfelt gratitude to NCAIA and all those in attendance. He said the recognition was not merely a personal achievement but a tribute to the collective efforts of the Sikh community and his dedicated team.

 He said, “This honor inspires me to continue serving with even greater commitment and responsibility, together we will keep working toward community service, unity, and the betterment of humanity.”

Sikhs of America president Kanwaljit Singh Soni and vice president Baljinder Singh were also present at the event.
