Priya Kumari, a Vadodara, Gujarat, based PhD scholar, is slated to study the contributions of Professor Dr. Kunwar Chandra Prakash Singh, the founder of International Hindi Association (IHA), to Hindi theatrical writings and dramatic literature.
Professor Singh, a visionary scholar and cultural ambassador, founded the International Hindi Association in 1980 in the United States. Over the past four decades, IHA has grown into a global organization with numerous chapters and life members, dedicated to promoting the richness of Hindi language, literature, and Indian culture worldwide.
Kumari will be working in close collaboration with her guide Dr. Kaplan Gawari at Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.
Meanwhile, Savita Kolhe from the Savitribai Phule Pune University is pursuing a part of her doctoral research on IHA’s flagship literary magazine 'Vishwa', reaffirming its enduring relevance in contemporary literary studies.
Vishwa's contributions have also been recognized by Bhopal's Dr. Atmaram Sharma who recently published his thesis on the 'Challenges Faced by Satirists in Contemporary Times', with a special focus on the satirical oeuvre of Vishwa’s esteemed editor-in-chief, Ramesh Joshi.
IHA, in a statement, hailed the students for their attempt to "understand, preserve, and share the richness of Hindi literature with others."
