NJ launches fraud probe into Indian American dance academy owner

New Jersey authorities have launched an emergency fraud investigation into Rupal Patel, owner of Arya International, a Morris County-based South Asian dance academy, over an alleged US $5.4 million investment scheme.

On Feb. 25, the New Jersey Bureau of Securities issued a Summary Cease and Desist Order directing Patel and the academy, operating as Mystical Stars and formerly known as Arya International, to immediately stop selling unregistered promissory notes and cease misleading investors.
