A consular camp organized by the Consulate General of India, New York, in partnership with VFS Global and the Milan Cultural Association, will be held April 18, 2026, in Windsor, Connecticut, offering in-person application services for a range of consular needs.
The camp, part of the ‘Consulate @ your doorstep’ initiative, will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Gurudwara Dukh Nivaran Sahib, 1530 Palisado Avenue. It is open only to applicants who fall under the jurisdiction of the Consulate of India in New York.

Attendees will be able to submit completed applications for passport, Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI), surrender certificates, police clearance certificates, visas, Global Entry Program (GEP), and miscellaneous services. Applications will be verified and accepted on-site by VFS Global representatives.
Applicants are required to complete several steps before attending. They must first identify the service needed and confirm eligibility based on the relevant category. Each application must comply with guidelines specific to that service.
All applicants must complete the required forms online through the Government of India portal for passport, OCI, surrender, police clearance, visa, and GEP services. Miscellaneous services require downloading and completing a form from the VFS website. After submission, applicants must print and sign the forms and note their application reference details before proceeding.
Applicants must also create a profile on the VFS website, pay the applicable fees, and generate a payment confirmation. Required documents must be assembled according to the prescribed checklist before booking an appointment for the camp. Individual profiles are required for each applicant, including members of the same family.
Appointments are mandatory. Applicants must bring printed application forms, supporting documents, proof of payment, and appointment confirmation to the venue.
VFS Global will review applications at the camp and accept complete submissions. Status updates will be sent via email or SMS beginning March 6, 2026, for applications received by the VFS office in New York, though applicants are advised to track their status online.
Organizers said attendees will be required to follow applicable health and safety guidelines, including mask use where mandated. For inquiries, the Milan Cultural Association can be contacted at milanassociation@gmail.com.
