Granta: India, Issue 173. / Granta
Granta, the British literary magazine known for its global focus on contemporary writing, has released its latest issue on Nov. 6, centered on India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Titled ‘Granta 173: India’, the Autumn 2025 edition brings together essays, fiction, poetry, and photography examining India’s social, political, and cultural landscape.
The issue follows Granta’s previous India-focused editions, including Granta 57 (1997) edited by Ian Jack and Granta 130 (2015). The publication, founded at Cambridge University in 1889, has long been recognized for its blend of fiction, memoir, and reportage, and for publishing writers who later won major literary awards, including the Nobel Prize.
