The Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) on Oct. 20 announced the appointment of Anjay Nagpal as its new executive director, ahead of the festival’s 24th edition scheduled for April 23–26, 2026.
Nagpal, an award-winning producer and entertainment executive, has worked on a range of critically acclaimed films including Greyhound, Bombshell, The Green Knight, Joker, and The Survivor.

He most recently produced Monkey Man, directed by Dev Patel, and has been an active advocate for South Asian storytelling in global cinema.
With over 15 years of experience in entertainment and finance, Nagpal currently serves as CEO of Entropy Media. He previously worked as Senior Advisor at RCM Entertainment and Chief Content Officer at Bron Studios, contributing to strategic initiatives, investments, and global content strategy. His expertise spans financing, production, distribution, and intellectual property management.
Welcoming Nagpal, IFFLA founder and board chair Christina Marouda said, “We are honored to be welcoming Anjay to the IFFLA family and cannot wait to work with him in shaping the future of IFFLA.”

Reflecting on his new role, Nagpal said, “My association with IFFLA goes back years, starting as a fan and patron first, and most recently, a participant at its burgeoning Industry Days program. Christina Marouda has labored for years to create a timeless festival, and I am honored to work with her and the rest of the IFFLA staff and supporters to take IFFLA to new heights. It’s an incredible time for South Asian and diaspora filmmakers, and I’m eager to nurture and champion their work.”
A graduate of the UCLA Anderson School of Management with master’s in business administration in entertainment management, finance, and strategy, Nagpal also holds a degree in finance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Founded in 2002, IFFLA is a non-profit organization dedicated to showcasing the diversity of Indian and South Asian cinema to audiences in Los Angeles. Over two decades, it has grown into a leading U.S. platform for discovering independent South Asian films and fostering dialogue among filmmakers, diaspora communities, and the international film industry.
The 24th edition of IFFLA will take place from April 23 to 26, 2026. Submissions for the 2026 Shorts Competition opened on Oct. 22.
