The University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering and Applied Science will host the India Technology Forum in Mumbai on March 13, bringing together alumni, industry leaders and members of the Penn community.

The evening will open with a state-of-the-school address by Vijay Kumar, Nemirovsky Family Dean of Penn Engineering. It will also feature a keynote speech by Rajeev Misra, chief executive officer and co-founder of OneIM.

A panel discussion with Penn faculty working in artificial intelligence, bioengineering and computer science will follow. The program will conclude with a fireside chat with Hital Meswani, executive director of Reliance Industries Limited.

“Our alumni in India are leaders across technology and business,” Kumar said. “This forum celebrates their impact and creates new opportunities for collaboration between Penn Engineering and one of the world’s most dynamic innovation ecosystems.”

Faculty speakers include Chris Callison-Burch, professor in computer and information science whose research focuses on natural language processing and artificial intelligence, and Ravi Radhakrishnan, chair of the Herman P. Schwan Department of Bioengineering, whose work advances computational and molecular approaches to medicine.

The forum aims to highlight the school’s latest research while strengthening connections between business and technology leaders in India and the global Penn network. Alumni, parents, university partners and other guests from the technology and innovation ecosystem are expected to attend.

“We are living in a moment when artificial intelligence, biotechnology and advanced computing are reshaping entire industries,” Misra said. “Forums like this are essential because they create the relationships that turn breakthrough ideas into scalable solutions.”

“The future of industry will be shaped by collaboration,” Meswani said. “Events like the India Technology Forum help create the connections that inspire young engineers and entrepreneurs to tackle the most pressing challenges facing our world.”

The event will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. IST at the Neeta Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC).
