Overseas Friends of BJP(OFBJP)-Chicago and Federation of Indian Associations-Chicago joined hands to honor the victims of the recent Air India crash in Ahmedabad.
An Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner, Flight AI171, crashed seconds after takeoff from Ahmedabad, India, on June 12, killing 241 of 242 onboard and at least 29 on the ground. Investigators are examining black box data, focusing on engine failure, flaps, and emergency systems to determine the cause.
OFBJP-Chicago organized a ‘Shraddhanjali (condolence) ceremony’ in Illinois to pay homage to the victims of the tragic incident and also mourn the death of former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, who passed away in the crash. FIA-Chicago participated in this event.
Numerous organizational and community leaders gathered to pay their respects. The community mourned the tragic loss of lives and expressed their sorrow about the demise of Rupani.
