The upcoming India Day Parade organized by the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA) in New York City will feature Odisha’s world-renowned Rath Yatra for the first time, bringing the majestic chariot of Lord Jagannath to the heart of Manhattan.
Presented by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) NY, the float will also honor the 129th birth anniversary of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder of the organization.

The procession will feature a grand, ornately decorated chariot carrying Lord Jagannath, accompanied by chanting, dancing, and devotional performances that reflect the spirit of spiritual unity promoted by Swami Prabhupada throughout his life.
The parade, organized by the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA), runs from East 38th Street to East 27th Street in Midtown Manhattan and is scheduled to take place on August 17. Film stars Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda have been announced as grand marshals of the parade.
The event is free and open to the public, with opportunities to participate in cultural performances and spiritual festivities. Registration can be done here.
