Lt. Gov Hashmi says abortion rights at stake in Virginia
Her remarks come as Virginians prepare to vote Nov. 3 on a constitutional amendment to protect reproductive freedom.

Virginia Lieutenant Governor Ghazala Hashmi warned that reproductive rights in Virginia could face renewed threats if Republicans regain power, urging support for a constitutional amendment ahead of the Nov. 3 general election.
In a statement posted on social media, Hashmi said reproductive freedom in Virginia “has been safeguarded by Democratic leadership,” but argued that “Trump’s Congress & SCOTUS are working overtime to roll back our rights.”
