Little Thomas, a nostalgic children’s film set in 1990s Goa, is set to premiere at the upcoming New York Indian Film Festival (NYIFF), running from June 20 to 22.
Directed by Kaushal Oza and backed by Anurag Kashyap, the film will serve as the closing feature. It has earned three nominations at this year’s edition: Best Actor (Gulshan Devaiah), Best Actress (Rasika Dugal), and Best Debut Feature.
The story centers on seven-year-old Thomas, played by Hridansh Parekh, a boy determined to reunite his estranged parents in the hope of having a baby brother. When Thomas learns that a sibling might arrive if his parents share a kiss, he sets out to make that happen despite their constant arguments. The result is a gentle and humorous tale of longing, love, and the power of a child’s imagination.
