Krishnamoorthi demands release of Epstein records from U.S. intelligence
His committee is pursuing the inquiry to determine whether any U.S. intelligence or foreign entities were connected to Epstein’s activities.

Representative Raja Krishnamoorthi urged the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) to release all records and materials related to Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and their associates.
In a letter addressed to the Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Krishnamoorthi and Rep. Robert Garcia, ranking member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, have asked that intelligence, financial, and foreign communications records be submitted to Congress by Oct. 21.
“We are investigating whether your agency may have information in its possession or control that could provide Congress with important insight into the activities of Epstein and his associates,” their letter stated.

The committee seeks to determine whether U.S. intelligence agencies possess information that could shed light on Epstein’s activities and any potential connections to foreign entities. It directs ODNI to produce all reports, memoranda, briefings, counterintelligence materials, and other communications referencing Epstein or Maxwell.
The lawmakers also asked the agency to include any documents in which their names may have been redacted under U.S. privacy protections, if those redactions conceal relevant references.
According to the lawmakers, the move aims to “ensure transparency, promote accountability, and fulfill legislative functions” as survivors of Epstein and Maxwell’s sex trafficking network “deserve justice and closure.”
The request comes amid renewed scrutiny of the Epstein case, following persistent public speculation about his connections with high-profile individuals and potential links to intelligence agencies.
Epstein, who was facing federal sex trafficking charges, died in custody in 2019, while Ghislaine Maxwell is serving a 20-year prison sentence for aiding his crimes.
