Kadva Patidar Samaj celebrates Diwali in Illinois

Attended by over 300 community members, the celebration stood testament to the rich traditions of the community.

The Kadva Patidar Samaj (KPS) of Chicago organized its Annual Diwali Celebration on Oct. 24 in Illinois.

Attended by over 300 community members, the event was a celebration of light, laughter, and community spirit.

KPS Vice President Satish Patel welcomed KPS community members, along with their families and friends, extending heartfelt wishes for a joyous and prosperous Diwali to all attendees.

The celebration began with a 'Deep Pragatya' (lamp lighting) ceremony, conducted by the Grand Sponsors, Rajal & Ketan Patel, Vimlaben & Amrutbhai Patel, Shankarbhai Patel, Manjulaben and Jayantibhai Patel, and Ishvarbhai and Shantaben Patel.

During the event, KPS Secretary Himanshu Patel introduced the new KPS Committee Members for 2026–2027. In his address, he also thanked the annual advertisement sponsors of the event.

The evening also featured appetizers, dinner, and desserts, with entertainment by the Rang Rasiya Musical Group performing a variety of songs. Guests danced and celebrated until late into the night, marking a close to this year's Diwali event for the Kadva Patidar Samaj of Chicago.
