The United States of America (USA) commenced its ICC Men’s U-19 World Cup campaign against India on Jan. 15 at the Queen's Sports Club in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, with a squad majorly made up of players of Indian origin.

While teams representing associate nations usually consist of players from diverse backgrounds, it appears that about all 15 members of the USA U-19 squad trace their roots to India.
USA has been sorted in Group B alongside India U-19, Bangladesh U-19, and New Zealand U-19.
USA’s opening match of the competition concluded with India winning the rain-affected match by six wickets, with India’s Henil Patel taking a five-wicket haul.
Before the players took the pitch, the parents of most American cricketers were seen singing along as India’s national anthem played while having the flag of the United States wrapped around them, marking a beautiful moment signifying the blend of the two communities.
