His BBL debut saw him score just seven runs off nine deliveries and concede 20 runs in two overs.
Despite Adelaide Strikers suffering a loss against Brisbane Heat by seven runs, Wadia’s performance and impact on the pitch became the highlight of the match.
Wadia comes from a background in India’s Baroda age-group system. With his parents still residing in Mumbai, he became a part of the Adelaide Strikers U19 programme before the COVID-19 pandemic.
The bowling all-rounder has been a regular performer in the South Australian Premier Cricket circuit since the 2022/23 season, representing Adelaide, East Torrens, and Tea Tree Gully.
According to Cricket Australia, Wadia has scored 680 runs at a brilliant average of 56.67, with a top score of 123 and has also taken 19 wickets in the South Australian Premier League.
