One of the most wanted fugitives in Canada has been arrested. He is none other than Nicholas Singh, who figured at number 15 in the updated list of the Bolo—Be on the Lookout—program that lists the topmost wanted suspects in Canada.
The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of his arrest made on the strength of a Canada-wide warrant.
The Ontario Provincial Police’s Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement had been looking for Nicholas Singh, 23, who had been “unlawfully at large” since May 31, 2024.
He was serving a five-year, five-month, and 10-day sentence for robbery and firearm-related charges when he went on the run.
Singh was arrested by Toronto police on the night of Nov. 21 in the area of Bathurst and Dundas streets.
Police said they were called to that area and found a suspect vehicle, leading to Singh being taken into custody without incident.
A firearm, an extended magazine, and ammunition were also seized, police said.
Singh has been charged with six firearm-related offenses, including possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm, possession of a loaded regulated firearm, and occupying a motor vehicle with a firearm.
Nicholas Singh was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for breach of parole by the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) squad.
It is alleged that on Nov. 21, at approximately 11:20 p.m., police attended the Bathurst Street and Dupont Street area. Officers who attended the area located the suspect in a vehicle. The suspect was arrested without incident
It is further alleged that officers located a firearm, an extended magazine, and ammunition
Nicholas Singh, 23, of Toronto, has been charged with possessing a restricted or prohibited firearm without holding a license and registration certificate. Possessing a firearm other than a restricted or prohibited firearm, knowingly not holding a license, possessing a prohibited/restricted weapon or prohibited device, knowing no authority, occupying a motor vehicle with a firearm, possessing a loaded regulated firearm, and possessing a firearm with an altered serial number.
