Madhu Dhar, an Indian-origin research professor educated at the University of Pune, was among five faculty-led teams awarded $50,000 each at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville Chancellor’s Innovation Fund ceremony on April 7.
The Chancellor’s Innovation Fund, now in its third year, supports faculty in advancing academic research toward commercialization. Projects are selected through a competitive process that includes brief presentations and evaluation of market potential, development plans and real-world impact.
