Indiaspora appoints Niranjana Rajagopal to lead Global Forum
The University of Mumbai alumna will guide the Forum’s strategic direction and long-term vision.

Indiaspora appointed Chicago-based leadership adviser and engineer Niranjana Rajagopal as the managing director of the Global Forum at Indiaspora.
In her new role, Rajagopal will be responsible for the Forum’s strategic direction, programmatic design, fundraising and operational execution, while setting the organization's broader mission to activate the Indian diaspora as a global force for impact.
Indiaspora, through this appointment, hopes to capitalize on her background in "leadership development, strategy and stakeholder engagement" to bring together senior diaspora leaders across sectors and geographies for meaningful engagement and connection.
Rajagopal, in her career that spans more than two decades, has played pivotal roles at major companies including KPMG Corporate Finance, the Boston Consulting Group, McKinsey & Company and Egon Zehnder.
Rajagopal holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BE in electronics engineering from the University of Mumbai.
A first-generation Indian American, she has lived and worked in Mumbai, Dubai and Chicago, a path that informs her understanding of the diaspora experience she now works to channel into impact.

Announcing Rajagopal's appointment, Indiaspora said on X, "We are pleased to welcome Niranjana Rajagopal to the Indiaspora team as managing director of the Global Forum. Niranjana recently co-authored our ‘India and its Diaspora: Partners in Progress’ report released in March and is now joining our team full time."
The community-centric organization added, "In her new role, she will guide the Forum’s strategic direction and long-term vision, bringing together senior diaspora leaders across sectors and geographies to activate our community for global good."
Indiaspora is a nonprofit organization that seeks to unite global leaders of Indian origin from diverse backgrounds and professions who are committed to inspiring the diaspora to be a force for good by providing a platform to collaborate, build community engagement and catalyze social change.
