Indian-origin Malaysian citizen, Rajwant Singh Gill Narajan Singh, has been sentenced by a Singapore court to 12 years in jail and 15 strokes of the cane on Jan. 13, for posing as a ‘sugar daddy’ and cheating three women after engaging in sexual acts with them.
The 38-year-old pretended to be a wealthy Caucasian ‘sugar daddy’ on dating apps, and reportedly coerced three Singapore women to engage in sexual relations with him.

The prosecution referred to his actions as depraved, sadistic, and malicious.
Singh, who has a wife and children, went on to manipulate the female victims, identified in court documents as PW1, PW2, and V3, and promised to pay them in exchange for sexual acts.
The court noted that the first victim, PW1, suffered psychological damage and was later diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder.
The second victim, PW2, reportedly left Singapore after she was recorded on tape by the accused while being engaged in sexual activities.
Singh met the third accused, V3, posing as "Michael Nolan" on a dating platform in 2019.
He pretended to be a rich American trader living on a yacht in Malaysia. He reportedly offered to pay the victim $20,000 a month to be his girlfriend. Reports also suggest that he never paid V3 for her services.
After engaging with the victims, he would threaten to make their explicit video footage public if they did not transfer him money.
Authorities were first alerted to the situation on Jan. 28, 2020, and Singh was then apprehended after a joint operation between the Singapore Police Force and the Royal Malaysian Police Force.
Singh was charged in 2020, and he was sentenced to four and a half years in jail and ordered to pay compensation of $5,437 in 2025 after he pleaded guilty to two cheating charges involving two of the victims.
