HindiUSA students tour heritage cities during India visit

A group of 14 students and senior representatives of HindiUSA from different parts of the U.S. paid a 15-day visit to India and met ICCR DG, K. Nandini Singla.

Students and senior representatives of HindiUSA, a New Jersey–based organization dedicated to promoting Hindi learning and cultural awareness across the United States, made a cultural and educational tour of India and met and interacted with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Director General, K. Nandini Singla, along with other senior officers.

The group of 14 students and senior representatives of HindiUSA from different parts of the United States, who have completed nine levels of Hindi learning, paid a 14-day visit to India from Dec. 21 to Jan. 5.

During their visit, the HindiUSA students and representatives toured various Indian cities, including Delhi, Udaipur, Ahmedabad, Varanasi, Ayodhya, and Vrindavan.

Singla explained ICCR's role and activities in promoting Indian culture and languages across the world to the students.



The students actively interacted with the ICCR’s officials, expressing interest in its initiatives and showcasing their learning through poems, skits, and forthcoming contributions to Gagananchal, a Hindi research journal listed in the UGC care list, underscoring language as a vital bridge connecting Indian-American youth with India.

ICCR’s statement on the HindiUSA visit mentioned that the articles written by the students will be featured in ICCR’s Hindi magazine Gagananchal in the future.
