The Global Organization of People of Indian Origin relaunched its Orange County chapter on Nov. 16, announcing the news at Tustin, California.
Hosted by the chapter's former president and now chairman Amrit Bhandari, President Hark Vasa, and GOPIO Orange County Executive Committee, the event witnessed attendance from close to 50 community members.
The event aimed to raise awareness about Gopio's mission, goals and history, while encouraging guests to be involved in GOPIO's efforts. The event also served as a platform for introducing the new executive team of the chapter.

GOPIO's international president Prakash Shah, Vice President and local community leader Kewal Kanda and Global Ambassador J Nami Kaur also attended the event.
The GOPIO-OC event began with a welcome address by Chairman Amrit Bhandari, followed by Co-host Hark Vasa introducing the new executive committee and reaffirming their commitment to the Indian Diaspora.
J. Nami Kaur shared the organization’s history, achievements, and future vision, before introducing International President Prakash Shah as the keynote speaker.
In closing, Amrit Bhandari honored J. Nami Kaur as Honorary Chair of GOPIO-OC, thanked the team and dignitaries, and urged attendees to join GOPIO-OC to advance its mission.
