Oumair Aejaz, a former Rochester Hills, Michigan, doctor, has been sentenced to 35 to 60 years in prison after facing 31 charges of sexual misconduct, according to the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office.

The 41-year-old Indian-origin former doctor pleaded no contest to all of the 31 charges, including first-degree and second-degree criminal sexual conduct, in October. Speaking after the sentencing, Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald said,

"This sentence ensures Oumair Aejaz will never again harm another victim. However, the damage he inflicted upon his victims will not go away with this resolution. We must continue to support them as they move forward from this trauma."

Aejaz worked at Ascension Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc Township and Henry Ford Hospital Macomb in Clinton Township.

According to the prosecutor's office, the investigation began in August last year after Aejaz's wife came forward with materials to authorities, alleging that her husband was secretly recording her, their children, and other female relatives.

During a search warrant, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office found and captured six computers, four cellphones, and 15 external storage devices.

Investigators uncovered that Aejaz secretly recorded children and adults at the Goldfish Swim Club in Rochester, while also using hidden cameras to record women and children in places like hospital rooms and bedrooms.

Along with lawsuits filed last year, three more were filed in October 2025, with the three women claiming that Aejaz assaulted them at Henry Ford Hospital in Macomb and recorded them. The lawsuits also alleged that despite complaints being made to the hospital, no action was taken.

Oakland County Prosecutor's Office mentioned that investigations remain ongoing into other recorded assaults that may have occurred at medical facilities in other counties, and additional charges remain possible in those jurisdictions.
